Join us on 4th Friday for Germantown Art & Sound, a kickback for local creatives with an art show highlighting local artists. Complete with complimentary wine, live music and a playlist that is uniquely curated by our guests, we deliver your Friday night vibes just right.


Event Details

Tickets: Suggested donation of $10. Cash, cash app, venmo and card accepted at the door.

Food & Drink: Complimentary wine and a food vendor will be available. This event is also BYOB.

Transportation: Our House Culture Center is easily accessible by bus (route 23). Free & metered street parking is available around the venue.

Accessibility: One entrance has two steps up with no railing. The side entrance has no steps. There are two steps with no railing within the venue space. The Our House restroom is gender inclusive. For all accessibility questions, please contact info@iloveourhouse.org.

Featured Artists

Kashana Ricketts - Kashana’s creative process includes oil painting, watercolor, and digital painting to create works ranging from representational art to abstraction. Her passion for art started at an early age, and in 2020, she was divinely redirected to her former passion through her relationship with Christ. In 2023 she founded her own art business Broken Edges. With art as a healing tool, she is learning to love herself authentically and she aspires to encourage others to love themselves and embrace their own identity in Christ.

Anaz X - Anaz X is a Philadelphia Native who uses various mediums including photography, sewing, sculpting, painting, sketching, digital art, and soon animation. He expresses himself through art and helps others to be their unique selves. Anaz' art focuses on using his talents God has bestowed upon him to serve him and his people, and help manifest his true gifts that are distinctive to him.

Devyn Dais - Devyn is a 23 year old Black female painter. She is interested in acrylic paint and mixed media. She creates art to bring a moment of stillness to the viewer. She creates mundane scenes in a way that makes them appear not so mundane. Her overall goal is to put peace into the world through her art.

Marie Rih - From Kiev, Ukraine, Marie Rih is an artist known for her fun designs and creative prowess. Her passion for art extends beyond her paintings, but also drawing, and stamping, which she has showcased in various Philadelphia markets and art exhibitions since 2023. Her move to America, driven by the onset of the current war at home, marked a new chapter in her artistic journey. Now based in Philly, she continues to leave her mark on the world of art, mixing her cultural heritage with the influences of her new home.

Ellis Rosenberg - Ellis is a mixed-media artist with a focus in street, folk, and pop art. He effortlessly blends various styles and influences to create unique and engaging visuals. Ellis draws influence from real-life experiences, found objects, Jean Michele Basquiat, Keith Haring, Shepard Fairy, and Barry McGee.

Velvet Grüve - Velvet Grüve is an instrumental band that takes influence from all genres of music ranging from funk to metal. We believe music can oftentimes speak for itself without lyrics. Our group developed an eccentric sound through casual jam sessions that stem from our own individual explorations of music. Our mission is for everyone to have an immersive listening experience through Velvet Grüve’s affinity for sound.

Re-Mus - Re-Mus is a rising RnB artist from Philadelphia known for his silky smooth vocals and charismatic stage presence. Re-Mus has been making waves with his soulful sound and heartfelt lyrics.

Our House Culture Center - Our House is a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization dedicated to providing a platform and space for artists to network, gain exposure, share skills and knowledge with one another. Our House hosts events, collaborative exhibitions, group projects, and more on a broad range of important issues including environmental, economic, social and cultural sustainability through the development and leveraging of local and regional partnerships.

Vanessa Chandler - Vanessa Chandler is a Philadelphia based event planner, nonprofit development professional and MC. She finds her passion in supporting local artists, curating community art shows and MCing live music events. Born in Norristown PA, Vanessa has lived in Philadelphia since attending Temple University in 2015. Vanessa holds a Bachelor's of Science in Tourism and Hospitality Management with a focus in event leadership.

The Germantown ArtHaus - The Germantown ArtHaus' mission is to encourage and nurture creativity and personal growth through the promotion of high-quality community arts, wellness, education, and professional-development programming. (Fingers-crossed) opening in the Fall of 2022, the ArtHaus will be a collegial place where artists can create, exhibit, and sell their work. A vibrant hub for the community, the ArtHaus will also be a safe place for our children to experience the boundless opportunities for freedom of expression the arts make possible.

Julian Moore-Griffin - Julian is a prolific storyteller. Whether penning articles spotlighting Philly's Sneakers of Brotherly Love, social justice in the city, cultural and community happenings or capturing the city's night life through his camera's lens, his thoughtful applications give his work a colorful depth and layered meaning.
